Alaska Airlines has become the latest airline from the United States to add to its destinations, with the airline set to launch five new routes across the United States just in time for a busy summer of travel. The airline, which is the sixth largest in the United States by fleet size, announced a new route just yesterday, unveiling a range of popular new domestic destinations that travelers can enjoy over the next few weeks on their website. .

A welcome change from airlines slashing their overall route offerings in the wake of staff shortages and rising costs, Alaska joins the likes of American Airlines in offering travelers something to look forward to this summer. . Here’s a look at the new routes Alaska has added to its route map and when they will go live.

Alaska Adds New Itineraries – Information for Travelers

Alaska Airlines’ five new routes offer travelers even more opportunities to visit some of the country’s top destinations. Alaska will fly daily between its hometown of Seattle and Miami, with nonstop service. The flight duration is just over six hours and will become the airline’s 100th nonstop destination from Seattle. This route has already been launched, with tickets already available for purchase online.

Travelers living in Seattle were also treated to a second new route from the state. Starting now, travelers can expect to buy flights between Seattle and Cleveland, Ohio. This new route makes Alaska the only airline connecting Cleveland to the Pacific Northwest, and is their third destination in Ohio after Cincinnati and Columbus.

Two more flights have been added from Boise, Idaho. As of yesterday, Alaska now flies daily between Boise and Idaho Falls, as well as daily flights between Boise and Las Vegas. With these additions to their existing flights, Alaska will now operate an average of 31 daily nonstop flights from Boise to 15 destinations, giving Idaho travelers plenty of vacation choices.

The latest new route added by Alaska Airlines is one that is sure to capture the imagination of lovers of the great outdoors. Beginning June 18, travelers can expect weekly flights between two of the top destinations for nature lovers: Salt Lake City and Anchorage. With the addition of this route, there are now direct flights to 22 different destinations from Anchorage, giving travelers many routes to and from The final frontier.

Speaking about the exciting new announcements from his airline, Brett Caitlin, Vice President of Network and Alliances at Alaska Airlines said the following:

“Northeast Ohio, southern Florida, southern Idaho – we’re taking new routes and heading to new destinations where our customers want to go. We are seeing strong ticket sales for all of our new non-stop routes. This is another indication that so many of us are ready to get out and go somewhere else.

With the busy travel summer fast approaching, Alaska Airlines could prove to be the airline of choice for travelers this summer for several reasons. Not only does it now offer an impressive range of destinations, but the airline was also recently crowned the safest in the country and the third best airline behind Delta Airlines and Hawaiian Airlines.
